Who we are & What we do
As a parent or guardian of an ÉMJS student, YOU are automatically a PAC member! The ÉMJS PAC is a central part of the school community, where successful education and well-being of our children depends on teachers, students, parents, and administration all working together. Through the PAC, parent volunteers play critical roles in fundraising and supporting school and PAC-led events that enrich student experience and help sustain the ÉMJS community. The PAC is entirely volunteer-ran and we are always in need of more people joining our team or volunteering!
PAC GOALS:
- Communication - To encourage and support discussion between parents, teachers, and the school administration
- Community - To build and enrich our relationships with neighbours, local businesses, and each other
- Coordination - To organize parents to help with school activities and fundraising events
- Control Funds - To establish an annual budget and allocate fundraising money for school activities and infrastructure
How has PAC made a difference this 24/25 school year?
Teacher Classroom Funds
We have provided financial support to help supplement each teacher's classroom with additional supplies (of their choice) that is not covered by the school budget.

Hot Lunch Program
Successfully started the hot lunch program up and running for another year to help raise funds for PAC project initiatives, and treat the kids to a fun lunch day that they love!
Chess Club
Provided funding for the Chess Club to operate this year supporting students in Grades 1-5 with this unique learning opportunity.
Go By Bike Week
Held the go by bike week (walk & wheel) event to encourage active transportation to and from the school in conjunction with Capital Bikes. Students received stickers & bookmarks, a snack each morning, and had a chance to win a daily prize.
