Fundraising

Passive Fundraising - Easy to do!

Our school participates in a number of passive fundraising opportunities that require very little effort for families -- things that can be part of your regular routine. This extra money goes a long way towards paying for the many annual projects and programs that the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) supports. Every little bit really does help!

Fairway Market Community Card

When you load your ÉMJS Fairway Market Community card using cash, credit card or debit card, Fairway donates 5% of the amount loaded to the PAC. Then use your Community Card like cash - have it with you whenever you go grocery shopping.

  • Step 1: BEFORE you pay for groceries, ask the cashier to load your card with however much you can afford (use credit, debit or cash to do this).
  • Step 2: Use your Community Card (much like a credit card) to pay for your groceries.  When the card balance is running low, load it up again and continue to support your school every time you shop! It's that simple!
If you don’t have a Fairway Community card yet, you can request one from us - email comms@emjspac.ca

Cobs Bread “Dough Raiser” Program

When you make a purchase at the 2178 Oak Bay Avenue location, let the cashier know that we have a “Dough Raiser” account there under the name “Margaret Jenkins” and 5% of your purchase will be paid back to the school.

Give ‘Back to School’  Project

When you purchase shoes with a value of $50 or more, Finn & Izzy (online store or at Nicholas Randall on Oak Bay Ave) will donate $5 per pair to Margaret Jenkins.

Clean-up crew at The Soap Exchange

When you purchase cleaning supplies, or refill your own bottles of cleaning products at The Soap Exchange on Hillside at Cedar Hill, 10% of the total will be donated to the PAC.

Mabel’s Labels

Order labels for your children’s belongings and 20% of your online purchase will be donated to the PAC. Free shipping for all orders!

Return-It Bottle Depot

When you drop off your returnable containers, let the attendant know BEFORE they start processing your order that you would like your payout to go to our school.  100% of the funds are returned to our school.
An account under the name “École Margaret Jenkins PAC” has been set up and can be used at any of the Return-It Bottle Depot locations:
  • 655 Queens Avenue
  • 4261 Glanford Avenue
  • 3961 Quadra Street
